An exploration of the evidence of dereliction in the physical landscape of Dublin's inner city, the failed attempts to solve the ongoing housing crisis.

Viewing demolition as a harmful act, the artwork is created from frequent observation on how the city’s walls speak on Ireland’s current economic and political state. Based on the purposeful dereliction and demolition of the Dorset Street Flats, a large derelict site of once social housing designed and built by Dublin Corporation in the 60s located in Dublin’s North inner city.

Using combined imagery of the urban landscape of Dublin and local grafitti commenting on eviction and demolition. Translated into screen print, collage, and hand printed laser cut wood block relief prints to comment on displacement and loss of community as a major issue.
