I Feel Saddened By Tumbling Red Buildings Falling At My Feet.
NCAD Annex Exhibition 2025
A response to the ever changing urban landscape of Dublin, shaped by the evidence of derelict buildings and vacant homes, and structures of concrete glass rising from where a forgotten city of people & history once stood.
Inspired by our landscape of rising buildings upon old sites, a bittersweet feeling of the need for homes whilst character is rapidly lost. The fragility of working towards the future of the city whilst being mindful of it’s past cultural significance.
Questioning if progress or the right choices for new buildings is being made, feeling saddened by watching the city fall to the ground at our feet and be built up in a way we may not want, both feeling that change is vital and mourning the loss of a Dublin that is already being forgotten.
